The university began holding manga education courses in 1973, and now offers both undergraduate and graduate programs. Students also have the opportunity to study manga theory through an undergraduate Japanese Studies Course in the Faculty of Humanities. Those who are interested in learning more about basic manga composition are welcome to refer to a series of online lectures by Kyoto Seika University Faculty of Manga professors, available for free on JV Campus.
